About ReadyIQ

ReadyIQ started from a simple frustration: Ofsted's inspection reports are all public, but reading enough of them by hand to actually spot a pattern isn't realistic for anyone running a home day to day.

Why we built it

Every children's home inspection report Ofsted publishes contains real, useful signal — not just a grade, but the specific regulations cited, the language used to describe good practice, and how a home's trajectory has actually moved over several inspections. On its own, one report tells you about one visit. Put hundreds of them together, benchmarked properly, and a much clearer picture appears — of your own home, and of the sector around it.

ReadyIQ exists to do that work once, properly, so individual providers don't each have to.

What we believe

  • Show the working. Anywhere ReadyIQ goes beyond simply reporting what Ofsted wrote, we explain exactly how that figure was built.
  • Readiness, not surveillance. ReadyIQ is built for the people running homes to understand their own standing — not to catch anyone out.
  • Independence. ReadyIQ is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Ofsted. Everything we show is built from their own published reports.

What's next

Children's homes are where we're starting. Fostering agencies and schools — independent and special schools in particular — are next on the roadmap, as part of the same service.
