This website is operated by ReadyIQ ("we", "us"), registered office 2 Well Court Cottages, Bekesbourne Lane, Canterbury, Kent, CT3 1XH. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. You can contact us at hello@readyiq.co.uk.
When you use the "Book a demo" form, we collect: your name, organisation, email address, number of homes, and any message you choose to add. If you tick the marketing box, we also record that you opted in to receive product updates.
If you're a ReadyIQ client, we hold your name, work email address, organisation/provider name, service type, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password as plain text) so you can sign in to your dashboard. Accounts can be created directly through our sign-up page, or set up by us as part of arranging your access — either way, we verify the email address and carry out a manual safeguarding check before granting full access. Your dashboard is built entirely from your own home(s)' data, drawn from Ofsted's own published inspection reports — we don't collect anything about your homes beyond what Ofsted has already made public, and each account is scoped so it can only ever see its own data.
As part of that dashboard, we also display information already published by Ofsted about the people connected to a home's inspection history — the inspector(s) who carried out an inspection, and the Responsible Individual and Registered Manager currently recorded against a home. Where the relevant company can be matched, we may also show basic company information from Companies House's public register (such as registration status and filing history), and a home's food hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency's public register. We don't collect anything beyond what these public bodies have already published, and we don't independently investigate, verify, or add to it. See "If you're named in our data" below if this applies to you.
For an individual inspector specifically, we also compile their published report history nationally into a single searchable profile, alongside how often they've raised particular themes or regulations compared with other inspectors. This helps a provider understand who might realistically inspect them, and check how a similar issue has been characterised before during an active or upcoming inspection. It draws only on reports Ofsted has already published, and full-text access to an inspector's compiled report history is limited to accounts checking a specific, known inspection, rather than open to general searching. See "If you're named in our data" below if this applies to you.
When an account looks up an inspector's full compiled report history in this way, we also keep an internal record of which account made that lookup, which inspector, and when (see "How long we keep it" below). This isn't a way of monitoring your general use of the dashboard — its only purpose is to let us confirm, if it's ever questioned, that this level of access is genuinely being used for the inspection-checking purpose described above, rather than general browsing.
Signing in uses one strictly necessary cookie to keep you logged in as you move between pages. This isn't a tracking or marketing cookie and doesn't require your consent under UK law, but the dashboard won't work without it. Outside the login area, we don't use cookies, analytics, or any third-party tracking scripts on this website.
If you're an Ofsted inspector, a Registered Individual, or a Registered Manager whose name appears on ReadyIQ in connection with a children's home, or a company director or officer shown via a Companies House match, this section is for you specifically — not just the general rights notice further down.
Everything we show is sourced from Ofsted's, Companies House's, or the Food Standards Agency's own published records, and is shown alongside the date of the report or record it came from. We don't hold anything about you beyond that. If your role has since changed — for example, you've left a Registered Manager or Responsible Individual post — or you believe something shown is out of date or incorrect, please email hello@readyiq.co.uk and we'll look into it. You also have the right to object to this processing under UK GDPR Article 21; see "Your rights" below for how to do that, and how to complain to the ICO if you're not satisfied with our response.
If you're an Ofsted inspector specifically: unlike the other roles above, we compile your published reports into a single national profile rather than showing them one at a time — see "What we collect" above for why. This includes an aggregate comparison of how often your reports raise particular themes or regulations against the all-inspector average. This is shown only to help a provider prepare for their own inspection — it isn't a rating or evaluation of you, isn't shared with Ofsted or anyone else, and isn't used in any regulatory, disciplinary, or employment-related process. It has no effect on you beyond informing what a provider chooses to double-check before you visit. If you have a question or concern about how your professional history is presented — including how any pattern comparison reflects your own reports — or want to raise something about this specific use of your data, email hello@readyiq.co.uk and we'll look into it — the same Article 21 objection right and ICO complaint route above applies to this use too.
Demo/enquiry form submissions are sent by email to our own inbox. Client account and dashboard data is stored on our own server, hosted with Krystal Hosting, whose infrastructure is located in the United Kingdom. We do not transfer your personal data outside the UK.
We don't sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your data may be processed by our hosting and email provider, Krystal Hosting, purely as infrastructure necessary to run this website and the ReadyIQ service — they act as a processor on our instructions, not as an independent controller of your data.
We keep enquiry details for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and, if you've opted in, to send product updates — and no longer than [24 months] unless you become a client. If you're a ReadyIQ client, we keep your account data for as long as your access is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards for account recovery and our own business records. The internal record of inspector full-history lookups described above is kept for up to 12 months, long enough to be useful if a question about this feature's use is ever raised, and no longer than that. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, subject to anything we're required to keep for legal or accounting reasons.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email hello@readyiq.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above.
